Alumni Teaching Award
This award is given in recognition and appreciation of excellence in teaching demonstrated by enthusiasm, commitment, dedication and outstanding service to the students of the Schulich School of Law. The Alumni Teaching Award is presented annually at the Dean's Spring Reception in March.
Nominations are made by current Dalhousie Law students and a recipient is selected in consultation with two representatives from the Dalhousie Law Alumni Association.

Bertha Wilson Honour Society
NEW! The Bertha Wilson Honour Society at the Schulich school of Law will recognize extraordinary alumni and showcase their geographic reach. One alumnus/alumna from each alumni branch along with up to three additional alumnus/alumna nominated by the Board of Governors will be honoured each year at the annual Law Alumni Dinner.

Weldon Award For Unselfish Public Service
The Weldon Award For Unselfish Public Service honours the tradition of unselfish public service established by Richard Chapman Weldon, the founding Dean of Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law. It has been presented each year since 1983 to an alumnus who has made outstanding contributions to the community and the legal profession.
2011 Recipient - Edward Dunsworth
The winner of the 2011 Weldon Award for Unselfish Public Service is Edward Dunsworth (LLB '75), a lawyer, teacher, and the current Director of Operations for Hand in Hand Minstries based in Managua, Nicaragua. Dunsworth and wife Barbara started the Pathway to Progress program, giving children from the poorest families access to quality education...
