Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law has a generous bursary and scholarship program which typically kicks off in the second or third week of October. This program is sometimes referred to as “in course” because it starts after students have registered for law school and after they have been in class for a few weeks. Students will be notified by the Chair of the Student Finance Committee as to when they can pick up application forms and apply for the different types of bursaries and scholarships available. Students will also be invited to an information session during which members of the Student Finance Committee will explain the bursary and scholarship application and decision-making process.
You will find copies of both the bursary and scholarship application form and booklet for 2009-2010 online. Hard copies will be made available at the Materials Room on Tuesday, September 29th. The booklet lists the different types of bursaries and scholarships to which students may apply. Typically, the application deadline is set for the last week in October, with decisions being made throughout the fall and early winter term. Responses are generally given to students during early January. Students who are awarded monies can expect cheques to reach them sometime during January 2009 or early February.
Information Session - Law School Bursaries Q & A to be held on Friday, October 2nd at 12 noon in Room 105.
