Biography:
Sarah Bradley was appointed to the faculty of Dalhousie Law School in 2007. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (honours) degree from the University of Toronto, her Bachelor of Laws degree from Queen’s University and her Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School.
Her teaching and research interests involve the law and governance of business organizations, fiduciary obligations in the business context, securities regulation, commercial law, and economic analysis of the law.
Professor Bradley currently serves as Chair of the Nova Scotia Securities Commission and in that capacity is a member of the Canadian Securities Administrators’ Policy Coordination Committee and the Joint Forum of Financial Regulators. She also serves as Vice-Chair of CBA Nova Scotia’s Legislation and Law Reform Committee, and is Vice-President of the YWCA Halifax.
Professor Bradley has served as a consultant to provincial governments on corporate law reform initiatives and has acted as an expert witness on the subject of Nova Scotia companies law.
Prior to joining the faculty, Professor Bradley articled and practiced law in Toronto and Halifax. She has been called to the bar in Ontario, Nova Scotia and New York.
