“I have studied or taught at 4 law schools in 2 continents but without any question, the graduate program at Dal is of exceptional quality. At Dal, you learn with talented students and with the guidance of brilliant and generous professors who spare no time or effort to help you realise your potentials, the experience is eternal. For me, Dal was a very positive life changing experience and the friendships I made there are with me to this day.” Ikechi Mgbeoji, LLM (1999), JSD, (2001) Associate Professor, Osgoode Hall Law School |

“I can’t recommend Dalhousie Law School’s LL.M. program highly enough. I received world class training and supervision by advisors who cared and took the time to get to know me as a person as well as a budding legal scholar.” Norman Letalik, LLM (1980) Partner and Managing Director, Professional Excellence at Borden Ladner Gervais |

“Dalhousie’s Graduate Law Program gave me the opportunity to think about law in ways I had not experienced in my undergraduate programme. The exchanges with my thesis supervisor, and other graduate students from around the World, opened up many new perspectives on how law and justice are conceptualized to meet diverse social needs. Dalhousie gave me the chance to explore legal knowledge for the simple pleasure of intellectual inquiry, but left me with a maturity of thought that set me up for my eventual academic career. I found Dalhousie’s law library a rich reservoir of historical and contemporary material that allowed me to complete my research without interruption. Halifax is a delightful maritime city steeped in history but very welcoming to newcomers. I have many vivid and pleasant memories of times spent with my fellow graduate students, and which lead to life long friendships. Jeff Berryman, LLM (1981) Professor of Law and Senior Research Leadership chair, Faculty of Law, University of Windsor, Windsor, Ontario Canada; and Professor of Law, Faculty of Law, University of Auckland, NZ (fractional appointment)

"The graduate program at the Schulich School of Law focused not just on my intellectual development but my professional development. It equiped me with the necessary critical, analytical and writing skills for research but also developed the skills and attributes necessary to become an academic. It was intellectually rigourous with supportive and engaged support from the academic staff. I wholeheartedly recommend this program."
Fiona McDonald, JSD (2010)
