The first Schulich Scholars are named
In January 2010 twenty-five law students were each awarded one of the first Schulich School of Law Scholarships. These scholarships were made possible by a $20-million donation made by businessman and philanthropist Seymour Schulich of Toronto. This donation is the largest gift of its kind ever made to a Canadian law school. Moving forward, the largest portion of this gift will go to fund over 40 new annual scholarships averaging $12,000 each. With this level of accessibility the Schulich School of Law will attract the best and brightest from across Canada and beyond. Congratulations are in order for this year’s recipients:
