A truly national law school, Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law welcomes students from every province and territory, fostering unique and diverse perspectives both inside and outside the classroom.  Your J.D. degree from Dalhousie will be recognized for Bar admission in all provinces nation-wide.

The Schulich School of Law's in-house Career Development Office helps students find job placements and articling positions across the country.

The Schulich School of Law provides an excellent grounding in the fundamentals of law and many opportunities for students to practise their knowledge in community-based and institutionally-supported programs.

One of the oldest clinical internships in Canada, Dalhousie Legal Aid Service is an interactive program. Students receive academic credit and acquire practical legal experience in a supervised setting.

The Criminal Law Clinic complements classes and seminars. Students are assigned to a judge. Crown Counsel or defence lawyer and observe and participate in criminal law practice.

The Schulich School of Law also offers a Judge's Clerkship Programme in cooperation with the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. Students spend a week with a Supreme Court Justice in chambers, bringing real-life experience to a solid academic foundation.
